The Luxembourg branch of the Junior Chamber International (JCI) welcomed youth entrepreneurship leaders from more than 33 countries when it hosted this year\’s European presidents\’ meeting.
Altogether, some 80 presidents and vice presidents attended the three-day event last week, giving the Grand Duchy a chance to showcase the country\’s achievements while sharing ideas and expanding networks.
“Its been a fabulous few days and a great opportunity for the next generation of leaders to see what Luxembourg has to offer,\” said Luxembourg chamber president Frederic Teate, adding: \”At the same time we believe that, in keeping with our philosophy of creating opportunities that empower young people to create positive change, we must improve ourselves and the world around us. We hope the event has also had an impact on Luxembourg itself.”
Among the events hosted for the occasion were an active citizenship dialogue with former European Commission President Jacques Santer as well as a speed networking event organised by The Insiders.
2013 marks the 50th anniversary of JCI Luxembourg, which today organises the Creative Young Entrepreneur Luxembourg Award (CYEL), part of the international event Creative Young Entepreneur Award (CYEA).
